Visiting Wild Rumpus will be an experience catered to your personal preferences. Sailors and aspiring sailors can take the helm, raise the sails, and spend a day talking like a pirate (okay, even non-sailors can talk like pirates). Those who prefer a magic carpet ride from island to island will relax in the near silence of a cruising yacht transporting them with the magic of the Caribbean.
Wild Rumpus's crew are all experienced sailors with USCG Captain licenses. All are experienced sailboat racers from the San Francisco Bay Area who can make your sail as exciting or sedate as you like.
We anticipate offering sailing classes through the American Sailing Association.
Wild Rumpus is a proven blue-water sailor after sailing 6000 nautical miles from Cape Town to the Caribbean. Wild Rumpus is your best choice if you prefer to venture off the beaten path in the Virgin Islands. St. Croix, or all the way to Flamenco Culebra off of Puerto Rico are within reach.
The seasonal passages into and out of the hurricane zone may also be available for those who want offshore passage experience.
A one-week charter is a perfect U.S> Virgin Islands experience. You'll visit some of the most beautiful beaches, fun beach bars, and best snorkel sites, all while surrounded by luxury. Wild Rumpus serves lifechanging Lime in the Coconut, and excellent food, all while in the most beautiful location inaccessible by land.
Wild Rumpus is best suited for two couples. Two more guests can be easily accommodated but share a bathroom with others.
Wild Rumpus has speakers in the saloon, cockpit, and in the spreaders (up on the mast) so that the entire boat can host a dance party. Underwater lights will bring sea life right to the boat for your viewing plesure.
All charters are crewed. The weekly charter rate is $24,000.00 US and includes all on-board food and alcohol. Tipping the crew is customary.
Unlike charter fleet boats, we are not limited to certain start days. We will customize the week to suit you.
On-board toys available for your use include an inflatable two-person kayak, two paddleboards, numerous floaties, and snorkel gear.
On Wild Rumpus, we believe in communication and collaboration with our guests to tailor the vacation experience to their expectations. Meals are included, but guests will likely want to experience the local restaurants as well. Our crew will design the meal plan around your desired itinerary so you get the most out of every aspect of your vacation.
